PATRICK BOURKE & HILARY THRIFT

After growing up on a small backgrounding property in the Lockyer Valley, Patrick headed to north QLD and then across to the eastern Kimberly’s to pursue his love for horses and cattle. After spending 7 years in the North growing his skills and knowledge within the industry, he then moved back to the Brisbane valley to further his knowledge with a growing company focused on cattle reproduction to increase fertility rates in the northern parts of Australia. The challenges involved with running several intensive small-scale properties included how to best utilize the land and this is where Wilmot’s regenerative practices caught his eye.

Patrick can often be found training horses and dogs of a weekend when he’s not on the road competing at a campdraft or rodeo with his partner Hilary. Hilary’s passion for breeding and training horses has led her to being very successful in the rodeo arena. During the week Hilary maintains an online marketing business that allows her to live and work remotely. She also manages her earring and sewing business “A Little Bit of Hilary” along with helping Patrick in her spare time.
